Our Story
Mi Casa Mexicana began with our grandmother in 1970s Mexico, who cooked homemade meals for nearby factory workers. Her food grew so popular she opened a larger spot for people to eat together.
After losing everything in the 1985 Mexico City earthquake, the family kept the recipes and love of cooking. In the 1990s the next generation moved to Canada. Years later a grand daughter started cooking with her mother, carrying on the tradition.
We started at farmers markets in 2018 as a family team, and opened the restaurant in December 2019 to share authentic homemade Mexican food.
